New Ethos is a non-profit organization that bridges the gap between faithful Catholics and the entertainment community. Following in the spirit of the New Evangelization, New Ethos aims to build a renewed relationship between the Church and film, both as art and industry.

 

Our “new ethos” is one of encouragement to producers, filmmakers, writers, and others working hard to tell stories. We want to reward their work by moving the Catholic audience—as well as other Christians—to a greater appreciation of the role these artists play in our society.

 

Our Awards are how we communicate to Catholics, as well as filmmakers, when a film succeeds in bringing us to a better understanding of some aspect of ourselves, our world, or our faith. Our hope is to convey this success to Hollywood through box office returns, encouraging future productions of the same quality and caliber of storytelling.
